Ratha Chea has been in the contract manufacturing business for 29 years and holds a BS degree in Computer Technologies from San Jose State University. Starting out in assembly Ratha has held positions at various companies as a Technician, Production Supervisor, Associate Engineer and Product Engineer. In 1992 Ratha started ERC Assembly and worked with both Palm and Handspring on their prototypes. In 2002 ERC was rolled into a new company and Ratha joined forces with a partner as a founder of Orion Manufacturing a contract manufacturer in the electronics industry. For the next 6 years Ratha was instrumental in growing Orion to a $40M company. His responsibilities included organizing and running the entire manufacturing operation including stockroom, shipping, scheduling, all aspects of testing and product quality. In 2008 Orion Manufacturing was sold to CTS Corporation. Ratha decided to open NRC Manufacturing specializing in Contract Manufacturing Services including PCB assembly, both consignment and turnkey, Box Build, Refurbish and Repair Services. His experience in electronics assembly and running production is invaluable.

Richard Somers holds a BS in Industrial Management from Georgia Institute of Technology and has been in the electronics industry for 34 years. Starting out his career working 4 years in the operations side of the business with an electronics distributor Richard then moved into sales. Richard has worked as a Manufacturer’s Representative with several companies for the past 30 years and has spent the last 11 years representing and selling for contract manufacturing companies. Richard has worked as an independent manufacturer’s Rep since 2002 and in 2008 decided to join NRC Manufacturing as VP of Sales. He brings with him a wealth of sales experience in the electronics industry.
